Colchicum autumnale var. album

Volvi lake, Macedonia, Greece, January 2, 2012

It was a sunny day and an excelent occasion to make a brief excursion near Thessaloniki. The road led us to Volvi lake. These nice Colchica were found in a small park for a natural monument, called Nymphopetres. Yannis V. pointed them out to me, while I was occupied to shoot an improbably flourishing Malva neglecta. Then we tasted Volvi fish in Skala, at Mikri Volvi, and had a trip back over the snowy Chortiatis Mt. If you feel ready to enjoy, beauty comes and finds you!
