Malcolmia macrocalyx ssp. scyria
Analipsi beach, Pelion, Thessaly, Mars 26, 2006
This particular subspecies of Malcolmia is reported only from the island of Scyros and the central part of Euboea, West of Kyme (brown areas on the map). I found it however on the rocks surrounding the beach of Analipsi, North of Chorefto, on the foothills of Mt. Pelion (red arrow on the map). It seems then that this rare taxa, endemic to the western Aegean geobotanical zone, has a wider spreading than supposed until now.
